JAMESTOWN — A former Jamestown man accused of intentionally setting a fire that extensively damaged his home and adjacent property was ordered to pay $24,699 in restitution recently in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.

In an amended plea, John Patrick Quinlan, 56, now from Nancy, Kentucky, pleaded guilty to failure to control or report a dangerous fire, a Class A misdemeanor. Charges of endangering by fire or explosion, a Class B felony, and two counts of endangering by fire or explosion, Class C felonies, were dismissed.
