Two new Democratic governors in key electoral states, an overwhelming vote for Democratic districts in California, three Democratic Supreme Court justices returned to the bench in Pennsylvania - these are just fragments of the blowout that Democrats enjoyed in the recent elections.

Trump and the Republicans took it on the chin from coast to coast.

These were not narrow victories. Abigail Spanberger won in Virginia by 15%. Mikie Sherrill won by about 13% in New Jersey. In New York City, Zohran Mamdani won by a decisive 9% against a flood of corporate money, the famous Cuomo name, and an endorsement from Donald Trump for his opponent.
