A massive fire has ripped through a perfume warehouse in Turkey, leaving at least six people dead. ‌

Emergency services were called to the warehouse in Dilovasi, Kocaeli Province, after reports of explosions and a large fire at around 9am local time (6am GMT) today, Saturday, November 8. ‌

Ilhami Aktas, the Governor of Kocaeli, confirmed that six people had died in the fire and a number of others were currently receiving medical treatment, reports the Mirror . ‌

He told CNN Turk: "The cause of the fire , which claimed the lives of six people, is being investigated, and the injured are receiving treatment."

Dilovasi is a municipality and district in Northwestern Turkey around 50km for Istanbul.
