Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday commenced the removal of stray dogs from Government hospitals in Hyderabad.

The move comes following the Supreme Court’s directive on November 7 mandating removal of stray dogs from public premises, including educational institutions, hospitals, sports complexes, and transport hubs. The court specified that these dogs should not be released back into such locations after sterilisation.
