Dare officials say a State of Emergency is not a viable option to address house collapses

Acknowledging that they’ve received numerous inquiries about the governor declaring a State of Emergency after the recent house collapses in Buxton, Dare County officials stated that such a declaration is not a viable option during the Nov. 3 Commissioners meeting.
