Businesses across Amarillo and Lubbock are showing their gratitude this Veterans Day with free meals, discounts and special offers for active-duty military, veterans and their families. From comfort food and coffee to car washes and sporting goods, dozens of local restaurants and retailers are taking part in the Nov. 11 celebration of service.

Veterans Day honors all who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, marking the anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I.
