An 11 year old lad from Pontypool has been hospitalised after heroically jumping in front of a rogue firework to shield his younger sister.
Olly was attending a local fireworks display in Penygarn on Bonfire Night with his family when a firework toppled over and shot towards the crowd.
Spotting that it was heading for his two year old sister Daisy, he bravely threw himself in front of her and yelled at his eight year old brother to run.

The firework landed in the hood of Olly's coat and exploded.
His mum, Charlotte, 36, said that Olly suffered severe burns to his neck, fingers and head due to his courageous act.
