Rider Hit, Driver Split: Man Left Bleeding On Bridgeport Street After Hit

A man is in critical condition after a scooter crash in Bridgeport, police said.

The crash happened near Broad Street and Railroad Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, Bridgeport police said. Officers said the man was riding as a passenger when the driver lost control on the wet road and went down.

The driver didn’t stick around. Police said the driver took off on the scooter, leaving the injured man behind. Witnesses told police the man was on the ground shouting for an ambulance.
