PORTLAND, Ore. — A man and a teenager were arrested after assaulting a man in early October, leaving him with serious head injuries.

On Oct. 9, at 4:23 p.m., police responded to an assault call at the 1500 block of Northwest 13th Avenue, where a man said he had been assaulted by two people who had punched and pistol-whipped him. The victim, not identified by police, had serious head injuries; his current prognosis is not known.

A handgun magazine was recovered at the scene. Detectives determined that the assault had not been random, identifying a man, 18-year-old Jonathan Ramirez-Cisneros, and a 15-year-old boy as suspects.
