A number of Calgarians are angry at the UCP government and are increasingly becoming vocal about it.

Despite hasty organization, a protest at city hall on Saturday morning garnered more than 200 attendees, gathering together and carrying posters decrying the province’s recent actions, most notably the use of the notwithstanding clause to end the teacher strike.

“Because the government has done so many things that we disagree with, it has become broader than that,” said Dr. Victoria Bucholtz, transgender rights activist and co-founder of Queer Citizens United.
