A newly completed walkway project has linked the five war memorials at Erie County Veterans Memorial Park, creating a fully accessible path for visitors to honor those who gave their lives for their country.

The project fulfills a vision launched in 2019, when a group of veterans and community members formed a nonprofit and took ownership of the park, located at Glenwood Park Avenue and State Street. That mission: to make the park a welcoming, accessible and lasting tribute to Erie County’s fallen heroes.
