MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the circumstances surrounding an officer-involved shooting that happened Saturday evening that left one man in the the hospital.

TBI officials say preliminary information indicates, the Gadsden Police Department responded to a 911 call around 9:15 p.m. A deputy with Crockett County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call for back up.

When officers entered the home, they fired their service weapons, injuring one man. According to TBI, the shooting is still under investigation.

Crockett County Ambulance Service was called, provided care, and flew the injured man by helicopter to a level one trauma center.

The condition of the man is unknown at this time.

No officers were injured.
