A Middlesbrough paedophile who sexually abused children has been handed an extended prison sentence.

Connor Wright, 31, was caught after police raided his home and found videos he had filmed of himself sexually abusing children, with his tattoo clearly visible in the footage, a court heard.

On Friday, Teesside Crown Court was told that Wright tried to "normalise" his horrific abuse by showing victims cartoon characters engaged in sexual acts. He told one child he had raped that they would "go to prison" if they told anyone, insisting what was happening "was their secret".

Wright had previously pleaded guilty to 25 child sex offences, including child rape, voyeurism (for filming a naked child) and causing a child to engage in sexual activity with him.
