The first steps have been taken in a bid to bring a new hotel and holiday homes to the Cotswolds.

There are moves to convert an agricultural barn near Moreton-in-Marsh into a 26-room hotel and to convert other farm buildings into 10 holiday homes, four with one bedroom and six with two bedrooms.

Cotswold District Council has been asked if prior approval is required for the proposed farm diversification schemes at Evenlode Ground Farm in Evenlode.

The photel roposal is described as a change of use from agriculture to commercial (hotel) use, with a floor area of 937 square metres for the building.
