A beloved BBC star, who served the broadcaster for 30 years, has tragically passed away. ‌

BBC cameraman John Williams has died, with former colleagues paying touching tributes to the "highly respected" professional. ‌

The devastating news emerged on Pebble Mill's Facebook page on Sunday (November 9) evening. ‌

The announcement stated: "Hi, I've heard sad news from James French. John Williams, whom we knew was very ill, has sadly died. He will be much missed."

Working as a cameraman for the BBC, John was recognised for his contributions to numerous programmes from the legendary Pebble Mill studios in Birmingham, reports the Mirror .
