KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A former West High School social studies teacher and coach is expected to appear in court Monday morning for a motion hearing in the sex crime cases against him.
Chad A. Brooks, 32, was indicted Sept. 24 by a grand jury for sexual battery by an authority figure. He was also indicted back in May with sexual battery by an authority figure and aggravated statutory rape of a separate alleged victim.
According to the court docket, Brooks has two motions and is expected in court at 9 a.m.
Brooks is being held in jail in lieu of $75,000 bond, according to the Knox County Jail roster. He was out of jail on GPS monitoring when the second indictment came down. As of Monday morning, Brooks was still in the jail.
