A revolutionary drone submarine designed and built in Australia that can travel for months while carrying explosives is set to transform the nation’s defences, with 7NEWS obtaining exclusive footage of the new mini-sub in final testing.
The Speartooth, measuring just eight metres long but capable of travelling up to 2000 kilometres, represents the latest innovation from Australia’s defence technology industry.
“We’ve spent four years developing a very stealthy, very reliable long-range underwater truck,” Marcus Hellyer of makers C2 Robotics told 7NEWS during testing at a secret location.
