Aston Villa ace Morgan Rogers could barely hide his joy after agreeing a new deal with Aston Villa that will keep him with the Claret and Blue until 2031.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder joined Villa from Middlesbrough in February 2024 for a reported £8million and has gone on to become one of Unai Emery's most important players.

Reports had linked the England star with a move to Chelsea , but Villa have moved decisively to secure the long-term services of their prize asset by giving him an improved contract - his third in less than two years.

Speaking to the club's website immediately after the contract was announced, Rogers said: “I’m so happy. The faith from the people at the club is a really nice feeling, and I couldn’t wait to sign. I’m really happy.
