Public trust in Glasgow City Council has declined, with only a third of Glaswegians expressing confidence in the local authority.
An annual household survey among residents found just 15 per cent were satisfied with road maintenance and 40 per cent were content with the level of street cleaning.
The survey also showed that public support has dipped from 35 per cent to 33 per cent among Glaswegians. It comes as the city has struggled with a growing homelessness crisis, partly caused by a huge rise in asylum seekers, with a near 260 per cent rise in refugees being placed in hotels and bed and breakfasts, reports the Record.
