Annual Veterans Day ceremony to be Nov. 11.

The city of Peoria will have the following closures to observe Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

City Hall, the city's two public library system branches and the William L. Patena Community Center will be closed.

The Rio Vista Recreation Center will have modified hours 5 a.m.-4 p.m and trash pickup will be moved forward one day all week long beginning Tuesday.

The city of Peoria will honor the service and sacrifice of all veterans at its annual Veterans Day Ceremony, Tuesday, Nov. 11. The service begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial at Rio Vista Community Park.

This year’s ceremony will include the addition of 197 new veteran names to the Peoria Veterans Honor Wall. The wall recognizes the bravery and dedication of those who served in the Unite
