UPDATE: A man who was cleared of federal torture charges earlier this year over his role in the 1990s Bosnian conflict pleaded guilty to a fraud charge that was pending in the case.
The judgment that was filed in U.S. District Court in Chattanooga on November 7 states, 53-year-old Sead Miljković pleaded guilty to one count of passport fraud.
The fraud charge stemmed from a superseding indictment from when Miljković was originally accused of torturing two men who were prisoners of war during the conflict in Bosnia in the early 1990s.
A jury found him not guilty of federal torture charges on May 2, 2025 after deliberating for less than two hours.
As part of the plea deal for the remaining charge, Miljković was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to pay $4,100.
