Facing possible closure in 2018, New Farm Loch Community Centre's prospects looked rather bleak.
First opened in 1974, the centre served the community well in its 50 years since, but the East Ayrshire Council building was in need of new purpose.
When Martyn Hay and Natalie Boyce set up Take a Bow in 2012, they wanted provide performing arts classes for young people in Kilmarnock and surrounding areas.
The seed of that idea grew into a community movement with Take a Bow Development Trust taking charge of the centre in 2018 via a community asset transfer.
A total of £2.7m has been pumped into the hub with the centre in the last few years resulting in a dramatic transformation to secure its future for generations to come.
