Hornet volleyball is starting to wind down in its final stretch of the regular season, as the team played its final road trip of the regular season over the weekend. They would travel to Fort Hays State and Nebraska-Kearney and leave both with wins, bringing their overall record to 20-5 and 11-3 in MIAA play.
The Hornets would face off against the Tigers of Fort Hays State first, and they started slowly. The first set saw the Tigers hit for an absurd .429 hitting percentage, while the Hornets only hit .195. The Tigers won the first set 25-17, but the script would be flipped in the second set. The Hornets stifled the Tigers' offense, only allowing a .077 hitting percentage and taking set two 25-18.
