On Saturday, Nov. 8, the Emporia State cross country squads looked to continue their season at the NCAA Central Regional. With a chance to make it to the National Championship, the Hornets looked to try and secure a spot in the Championship. They would fall short, however, as the women placed in 22nd place while the men took 23rd. No one qualified individually for the Hornets, thus ending the cross country season.
Starting on the women’s side of the Regional, senior Mason Bina finished her career with a top-100 finish at the event. She finished in 89th place after clocking a time of 22:58. Following her was sophomore Emma Bartholome, finishing in 121st, putting together a 23:28 time.
