SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A suspect has been identified after a police chase from Christian County ending in Greene County, which resulted in the car being on fire and the suspect shooting himself.

According to the Greene County Sheriff's Office, Steven Shawn Trafford, 51, of Iowa, died from his injuries on Nov. 8.

Trafford had an outstanding warrant out of Louisa County in Iowa. He was facing charges for enticement of a minor for indecent purposes and failed to appear for sentencing.

On Nov. 8, Trafford led Christian County and Greene County deputies in a pursuit that ended in his vehicle crashing and catching fire. A single gunshot was heard while deputies were giving orders to him to comply.
