If Monday morning’s temperatures weren’t cold enough for you, don’t worry. True freezing temperatures are on the way for most of south Louisiana.
Areas along and north of the Interstate 10 and 12 corridor, including Baton Rouge and the northshore, will see temperatures dip below freezing Monday night into Tuesday, prompting forecasters at the National Weather Service to issue a freeze warning. New Orleans, coastal Louisiana and parts of Jefferson Parish are excluded from the warning.
Weather forecasters say an Arctic front that has been pushing through the area since yesterday will drop temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees and bring 3 to 8 hours of freezing temperatures overnight to areas included in the freeze warning.
