BOISE, Idaho — Four squads in each classification take aim at an Idaho high school football state championship appearance this weekend as the semifinals take center stage.

6A Southern Idaho Conference frontrunners Rocky Mountain and Timberline square off with Rigby and Coeur d'Alene, respectively. Both contests kick off at 7 p.m. Friday. The Wolves welcome the Vikings to Dona Larsen Park.

Hillcrest hosts Twin Falls as its pursuit of a second-straight 5A title continues Friday. The Knights claimed last year's championship by knocking off Skyline, who visits undefeated Bishop Kelly in the final four.

The semifinals kicked off Thursday night at the ICCU Dome in Pocatello. Ririe stayed perfect and secured a spot in the 3A state title game with a 14-8 victory over Aberdeen.
