BOISE, Idaho — Whether you’re heading down to San Diego State University or cheering on the Broncos from here at home, you'll likely see something San Diego rarely serves up on game day: real, honest-to-goodness rain — and plenty of it.

A deep Pacific storm system is pushing ashore with a plume of tropical moisture, and rain showers will roll through the region most of the day Saturday. The heaviest rain looks likely in the morning and early afternoon as the core of the system moves inland. Anywhere from two to five inches of rain is possible from this storm, impressive numbers for November in southern California. A few thunderstorms may pop up too, adding some extra electricity to the atmosphere before kickoff.
