QUINCY (WGEM) - A 46-year old electric bike rider was in critical condition Monday following a crash with a 9-year-old pedestrian on Sunday, according to police.
Quincy Police reported that officers responded to the 1600 block of Oak Street around 5:30 p.m. Sunday for a reported crash.
When officers arrived, the cyclist was lying on the ground, unconscious, with a serious head injury
The cyclist was taken to Blessing Hospital.
According to police, the cyclist was heading east on Oak Street when a nine-year-old ran from between two vehicles into the street, and collided with the cyclist.
This crash caused the cyclist to be ejected from the bike.
The juvenile was treated on scene for a minor injury and refused transportation to a medical facility.
