LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - For many we are dealing with the first frost and freeze of the season as temperatures have quickly cooled overnight.
Make sure to grab the heavier jacket and coat as you step out to head to work and school this morning.
Thankfully, we are expecting plenty of sunshine as we head through the afternoon and evening which should help to get us back into the middle 60s.
Winds will also be more of a factor today as they are turning more southerly, which will help to bring back more moisture to end the work week.
If you have plans to be outdoors, the forecast looks great as we’ll continue to see a mix of sun and clouds through the latter half of the work week.
Temperatures are quickly climbing each morning and afternoon as we say good-bye to our cold snap for now.
