(Fargo, ND) — The Fargo City Commission postpones a vote over the annexation of land near an AI Data Center. On Monday, the commission voted four to one to postpone the vote to November 24th. The 800 acres of land north of the North Softball Complex near Harwood, North Dakota includes a 280-megawatt AI data center by Applied Digital. The three-billion-dollar project began construction in mid-September, with plans to open in early 2027. A delay in deciding how to move forward with potentially annexing the land gives the city time to discuss with Harwood leaders.
