CHIKKODI: Sadashiv Bani, known as the ‘Shravan Kumar’ of Kaliyuga, has lost his mother. Sadashiv, a resident of Kempatti village in Raibagh taluk had carried his mother Satyavva Bani (85) on his shoulders to Pandharpur for Vitthal-Rukmini darshan for four years.
Satyavva passed away at Chikkodi hospital due to age-related illness. Sadashiv had undertaken a padyatra with his mother on her shoulders on Kartik Ekadashi, covering the distance from Kempatti to Pandharpur, Maharashtra, to fulfill her wish to see Lord Vitthal.
Sadashiv is known for his devotion to his mother and has earned the title of ‘Shravan Kumar’ for carrying his mother on his shoulders.
