BRUNSWICK, Ohio --- The Brunswick community got its first chance to explore the city’s new state-of-the-art fire station at an opening celebration Nov. 8.

“We are really grateful to have this facility in the center of town, and to be able to respond [from it] to every part of the community,” firefighter Peter Muha said as visitors began filling the six-bay garage in the new department headquarters for the start of the grand-opening ceremony. “And we are really grateful for the hard work of the [city] administration.”

Firefighter Kyle Golod added that the camaraderie built by having a full staff at a single station is also a benefit to the department.

“Team building is important, not only in the fire service, but with any team,” Golod said.
