: Chief minister Conard K. Sangma on Tuesday said that it is necessary for the government to focus on the young generation because Meghalaya is a young state with 50% of the population below the age of 20.

Sangma attended the closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Ri Bhoi District Sports Association (RBDSA) at Pahamsyiem, Ri Bhoi district on Tuesday.

“I congratulate all the present and past office bearers and members of the RBDSA who have contributed in bringing this association to where it is today making RBDSA an important body not only in Ri Bhoi District but in the sports arena of the state,” Sangma said.
