NHS and UKHSA 'stay strong' alert as virus sweeps across UK View 2 Images

As the "worst of winter" approaches, people are being urged to protect themselves against a virus predicted to sweep across the UK. The disease typically peaks during the colder months, and the NHS is bracing for a "challenging" period ahead.

A spokesperson for the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) posted on X to ask people to take every chance to look after themselves. They said: "Give yourself the best protection with a flu vaccine, it's just like protective armour. Stay strong. Get vaccinated."
