A Harlem woman ruthlessly stabbed dozens of times and left to die in a vicious ambush by her ex-boyfriend was officially identified by police Tuesday as a mother of four.
Carmen Lopez, 47, was knifed about “50 times” – leaving her within inches of her life – around 4 a.m. Monday near the elevator on the third floor of her rental building on West 129th Street near St. Nicholas Terrace, cops and sources said.
Her alleged assailant was her on-again, off-again beau who may have been fueled by jealousy, the sources said. The two were not together at the time of the slaying, the sources said.
Building porter Lyron Middleton happened to be cleaning the staircase when he stumbled upon Lopez covered in blood and called 911, he said.
Lopez was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital, where
