FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. (KFVS) - The Fredericktown City Council voted Monday night to impeach the town’s mayor, Travis Parker.
This controversial decision had a lot of residents upset.
After the public had a chance to voice their concerns, the city council went ahead with the vote of 4-2 to proceed with articles of impeachment.
One attendee told Heartland News she wants members of the public to stay involved.
“To stay involved. That is the biggest call. Don’t let the passion for this mission fade after tonight,” said resident Alicia Hill. “This is the very beginning. I think everybody was taking the names of the aldermen that voted to proceed with the removal. The call to action is: don’t forget what happened here tonight, and to keep supporting Travis.”
