MENOMINEE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A man was sentenced this week to 30 years in federal prison for violently attacking his girlfriend in 2024.

In August, a jury found 32-year-old Nee Gee Cloud guilty of burglary and assault with intent to murder, in violation of federal law.

On the afternoon of September 20, 2024, federal authorities said Cloud broke into a home in Neopit on the Menominee Indian Reservation. When he got inside, Cloud violently attacked his girlfriend.

Cloud returned to the bedroom several times over the next twenty minutes, and punched, kicked, and stomped on the victim’s head. Cloud also slammed the victim’s face into the floor.
