A major milestone has been reached after a hero train steward woke up in hospital following a mass stabbing attack near Huntingdon.
Hero Samir Zitouni, 48, was working as part of the LNER catering crew on the Doncaster to London King's Cross service when multiple people were stabbed on November 1. His actions during the attack were described as "nothing short of heroic" by the British Transport Police.
Samir was taken to Cambridge's Addenbrooke Hospital in Cambridge after he suffered serious injuries in the knife attack. He had been one of 11 people who were treated for injuries on the LNER service.
