The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) announced approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects Wednesday, including two projects in Lyon County.
The first will be milling and overlay work on K-99 from the I-35/K-99 junction north to the K-170/K-99 junction, covering 10.7 miles. The total cost of the bid is $2,088,469.85.
The second will be milling and overlay work on K-99 from the U.S. 56/K-99 junction north to the Lyon/Wabaunsee County line, covering 6.1 miles. The total cost of the bid is $922,048.05.
Pearson Construction LLC, based out of Wichita, will handle the work on both projects.
