WATERBURY, Conn. — A Waterbury man allegedly stole two Ryobi drills from the Home Depot on Bank Street Tuesday morning, according to the city’s police department.
Isuel Cordero, 24, was later arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny.
Waterbury police officers responded to the store around 9:19 a.m. after learning of a robbery there.
Home Depot loss prevention staff said that a man, later identified by police as Cordero, entered the store and took two Ryobi drills, which he reportedly concealed in his backpack.
When Cordero left the store, he was approached by Home Depot staff. Then, Cordero allegedly pushed the workers while brandishing a box cutter.
He left the scene on foot without further incident. No staff members were injured during the confrontat
