HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The West Virginia Department of Education today released new data about public school enrollment.
The certified counts for this year showed a staggering trend of public school districts losing enrollment.
The data showed there are more than 6,000 fewer students in West Virginia public schools this year than last year.
The data also showed the state has lost 16,000 public school students in the past four years.
