Meriden police say a man ripped up and stole $8,000 worth of brass railings from St. Rose Church of Lima Church at 35 Center Street on Nov. 7.

Meriden police are asking for tips after a man was captured on camera ripping up $8,000 worth of brass railings from St. Rose of Lima Church on Center Street.

Officers were called to the church for a report of larceny on Nov. 7. Video shows the man yanking up the railing on the church's stairway. 

Meriden police are looking for this man, who they say stole $8,000 worth of brass railings from St. Rose Church on Nov. 7.

The Meriden Police Department released a video showing the theft, hoping the community could help them identify the thief.
