It’s a move that’s certain to cause a collective facial pucker within the Trump administration — the Sour Puss liqueur brand says it’s moving some of its production to Canada due to slumping sales resulting from the Canada-U.S. trade war.

Andy England, chief executive of the Minnesota-based Phillips Distilling Co., said it lost virtually all of its business in Canada after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened tariffs in countries throughout the world, including Canada.

The threats, which began in 2024 , prompted provincial alcohol distributors, including the LCBO in Ontario, to clear their shelves of American-made booze.
