ATLANTA — A passenger boarding a Frontier flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport discovered a loaded gun magazine near her seat Sunday, the airline said.
The discovery happened Nov. 9 during the boarding process for Flight 4771, which was headed to Cincinnati.
"Customers were asked to deplane while a security sweep of the aircraft was conducted, along with additional passenger screening prior to the flight’s departure," a spokesperson for Frontier Airlines said in a statement.
According to Atlanta Police, officers responded around 4:30 p.m. to Gate C-6 at Concourse C to look into the matter. APD said the loaded magazine was found near seat 7A.
