CLEVELAND, Ohio — One person was hurt in a road-rage shooting on Interstate 77 on Wednesday morning.
About 9 a.m., two cars were driving north on I-77 near I-480 when one car cut off the other, sparking the incident, Newburgh Heights Police Chief John Majoy said.
The two cars continued driving north until they passed the Harvard Road exit. That’s when police said the driver of a silver Ford Fusion, a woman, shot the other driver.
The driver of the Fusion sped off, police said.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, was treated and released from a hospital, authorities said. The incident could have been much worse, as a 2-year-old was in the back seat of the man’s car, Majoy said.
He called for drivers to avoid retaliating if another person is driving aggressively.
