A magician who vanished after charging a community hub £400 for a show he never turned up to has issued an apology.
Dean Spruce, who operates Divine Magic, approached Crossens Community Centre in Southport back in April, offering to provide a show for their Summer Fair in June. He contacted the centre, managed by Crossens Community Association, promising "wonderful entertainment" including a magic show, bubble show, workshops and "amazement" for all the family at a cost of £400. The price also encompassed "walkround magic" and balloons.
