A man died in hospital after receiving a hair transplant in Turkey, according to reports.

Mentor Rama, 36, was named locally as the British citizen of Albanian nationality, who died after receiving a hair transplant and dental treatment in Istanbul.

A police investigation has been launched.

Local reports say he stayed in a hotel in Şişli close to where he had a hair transplant at a clinic.

The next day, he had dental treatment before collapsing at his hotel.

He was taken to Seyrantepe Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead at around 4.30pm on November 11.

After an autopsy, the body was taken by his family and taken back to his home country.
