The government has issued a flood warning for Coventry rivers and brooks as Storm Claudia descends on the city. With an amber weather warning in place across the region, heavy and persistent rain is expected throughout Friday and into Saturday.

An update issued on Friday morning advises in Coventry is a real possibility as the foul conditions continue and residents have been told to be prepared.

The government's flooding service advice page online states: "Forecast high river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the morning of 14 November 2025.
