Teesside residents have been told to be vigilant for flooding as more than 100 alerts are in place across England today (Friday). Storm Claudia is bringing heavy rain across the country, with the North, Midlands and South West particularly affected.
There are also three flood warnings in place - one in Keswick and two in Carlisle. A flood warning is issued by the Environment Agency when they think flooding is expected and action is required, while alerts are where flooding is possible and people should prepare.
The country has been pelted with heavy rain over the last week and its effects are beginning to show. Storm Claudia has brought Amber warnings issued by the Met Office for southern and central parts of England and Wales.
